Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Electrician Apprentice (Commercial/Industrial), whose primary responsibilities are assisting Electrician Journeypersons with tasks, learning and applying trade skills and concepts, and organizing materials and products. Responsibilities also include performing work on both client and company electrical systems and equipment while upholding strict safety and quality standards. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain organization of material and products
- Learn and apply new trade skills and concepts in a working environment
- Work with hand and power tools
- Apply electrical theory
- Safe use of heavy equipment
- Assist Journeypersons in all electrical tasks
- Follow procedures and work instructions provided by Journeypersons
- Receive and complete assigned task list with minimal supervision
- Initiative to complete instructions as provided and seek additional work if necessary
- Continuous learning and application of all journeyperson-related responsibilities and duties through all stages of apprenticeship program
What You Bring to the Table
- Electrical Apprentice (interested in pursuing apprenticeship or currently registered with the appropriate provincial authority)
- Experience with any mechanical or carpentry capacity is considered an asset
- Ability to safely lift heavy tools, equipment, and parts up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work overhead and in awkward positions
- Willingness to work at heights, outdoors, and underground (mine sites)
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Strong math skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent time-management skills; ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
